Suzanee LewisSuzanne L. Lewis, RN, MS, Ph.D., LPC
Suzanne's work experience as a Registered Nurse in both Critical Care and Psychiatric Care, coupled with her education and experience as a doctorate-level counselor, provide her clients a unique perspective. She encompass both the medical and psychological areas of mental health. Suzanne's ultimate goal has been to provide these professional skills for her clients in a safe and empathetic environment so they can obtain their optimal level of personal, interpersonal and family functioning.

 

Suzanne's counseling focus is in the following areas: depression, anxiety, abused in childhood, children, traumatized children and adults, adolescents, parenting issues, marital difficulties, divorce adjustment, grief and loss issues, and family problems including step-families. Suzanne's education has included an R.N. degree from St. Anthony’s School of Nursing, Masters of Science in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento, California, and Ph.D. from The Union Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Suzanne works in both the Denver and Littleton offices.



Amber WongAndrew Jerusik, MA, LPC
Andrew's counseling focus includes working with male adolescents struggling with sexual addiction, as well as helping parents work through difficult problems that often accompany a child's struggle with pornography or other sexual isses. Andrew is also available to help teens develop anger management skills that can lead to fulfilling relationships with other people.

 

Andrew is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado. All too familiar with experiencing relational pain and brokenness, Andrew has also experienced profound freedom in his life and marriage after surviving the throws of foster care as an adolescent and subsequent healing as an adult. Andrew seeks to convey to and comfort those who feel there is no hope. He is passionate about presenting truth to people and places in hearts where lies have resided for far too long.

 

Andrew works in the Littleton office.



Amber WongAmber Wong, MA
Amber enjoys working with children, adolescents and young couples.  She also has a special passion for helping adolescent girls and women with issues that distort their innate beauty and strength- such as eating issues, sexual abuse, cutting, anxiety/ depression, and childhood trauma. 

 

In her counseling, Amber hopes to establish a connection with clients based on trust, hope and compassion.  With this in place, Amber can then help clients enter into areas of pain and brokenness, so that they might ultimately experience healing and genuine change.

 

Amber received her BS in Psychology from Duke University and her MA in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary.  She has also spent time working at the University of Maryland’s Child and Family Development Center, as well as co-teaching a course on Eating Disorders at Colorado Christian University.

 

Amber works in the Littleton office.



Staff 1Ken Curry, MA, NCC

With open, warm and collaborative style Ken brings his life experience, educational knowledge and relational insights to your counseling experience. His general focus includes Marriage, Family and Men. More specific areas include; life transitions, sexuality, fathering, parenting, boys, reconciliation, pre-marital, singles and navigating chronic disease as a family.

 

Ken has earned an MA in Counseling from Colorado Christian University, a post-graduate training certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Family Therapy Training Center of Colorado (now Denver Family Institute) and a BA in Pastoral Studies from CCU.  Among the varied work experiences Ken has had in the past he has been an associate pastor in the Denver area for 11 years and a therapeutic foster father for 8 years. Ken has been married for almost 25 years and has three young adult children.

 

Ken works in both the Littleton and Denver offices.



Staff 1Brooke Blanciak, MA, NCC
Brooke received her Master's degree in Community Counseling from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. After graduating she accepted a residential counseling position with Mercy Ministries of America in Nashville, TN. Mercy Ministries works with young women ages 13-29 dealing with life controlling issues such as depression, self-mutilation, unplanned pregnancies, eating disorders, severe psychotic disorders, etc. During this time she learned a lot about the current issues plaguing our young people today.

 

Eventually she made her way back to Colorado continuing her work with children, teens and young adults. Other areas of interest and experience that Brooke offers are: vocational counseling, relationship coaching, singles issues, women's issues, grief and bereavement and child counseling.

 

In her free time, Brooke enjoys traveling (over 10 countries), producing, writing, reading, down time with friends, movies, working out, and learning anything new.

 

Brooke works in both the Littleton and Denver offices.

 

 

Staff 1Michael Ballard, MA, LPC
Michael enjoys working with individuals, groups, and families to help build better relationships and work through issues of conflict and trust. Michael's philosophy of therapy is based on the belief that being disconnected from healthy, supportive relationships is the cause of almost all human problems. Michael encourages his clients to take charge of their lives by learning to understand their anger, forgive themselves and others, and make better choices.

 

Michael specializes in issues relating to anger, depression, forgiveness and reconciliation and has received focused and specialized training in these areas. He works with all populations, but has particular interest in adolescents, couples, and families. He completed two years of post-graduate training in Family Therapy through the Denver Family Institute, and has facilitated a number of parenting seminars and classes.

 

Michael works in the Littleton office.



Staff 1Abby Blacklock, MA, NCC
Abby’s goal in counseling is to help her clients gain a better quality of life and interpersonal well-being while acquiring emotional and spiritual health. For Abby, counseling is about people processing through life together. Her counseling style involves allowing freedom for laughter and tears, conversation and silence, logic and emotion. Abby has a Masters in Counseling degree from Denver Seminary.

 

Abby enjoys working with adolescents, couples, and women. She has experience and specialized training helping clients work through: stress, anxiety, depression, boundaries, communication skills, unplanned pregnancy and parenting skills, premarital counseling, relationship difficulties, sexual deviancy, and spiritual issues. In her counseling sessions, Abby uses a variety of techniques, focusing on the more creative means of self-expression (collaging, journaling, painting, drawing, guided imagery, relaxation therapy, etc.).

 

Abby works in both the Denver and Littleton offices.

Lizzy enjoys working with individuals and couples facing their own life's realities, changes, and challenges. She believes that the counseling relationship is uniquely safe and accepting, but that it also requires engagement, honesty, and hard work.  She asks her client(s) to be active participants, and to take responsibility as the expert on their own life.

 

Having worked professionally for over 10 years in the areas of public health education, human development, and student services, Lizzy has seen the importance of looking at each person holistically.  She considers all areas of health, as well as the primacy of relationship and its impact on life fulfillment.

 

Lizzy has experience working with: Preteens, Adolescents, and Young Adults, Acute and Chronic Illness and Pain, Grief and Loss  (especially with children and adolescents), Depression and Anxiety, Abuse and Trauma, Eating Disorders and Self-Harming Behaviors, and Body Image and Self Esteem.

 

Lizzy works in both the Denver and Littleton offices.



Staff 1Garry Nutter, MA, NCC
Garry’s counseling style has been described as “highly relational”, “comforting”, “safe”, “warm”, and even “pastoral”. What you will find in him is a very warm, caring person. He helps clients focus on how their emotions impact them, offers tools to deal with life, and helps them find meaning in their experiences. His style has been effective in dealing with sexual/internet addictions, behavioral addictions, anxiety, depression, anger management, adolescent and young adult issues, and couple’s therapy. Garry is a certified Prepare/Enrich counselor for pre-marital and marital counseling. As a former ordained minister, he brings special insight to the struggles unique to people in ministry.

 

Garry has a Masters degree with honors in counseling from Denver Seminary. He offers a holistic approach that combines the best counseling practices with sensitivity to the spiritual and physical needs of each client. Garry's area of counseling focus is teen depression, anxiety, anger, sex addictions, and sexual deviancies.

 

Garry works in both the Denver and Littleton offices.



Staff 1Kim Jones, MA, LPC
Kim has worked for over 8 years in a variety of counseling settings.  She has worked with children, adolescents, and families in residential treatment facilities.  She understands how stress affects relationships and other areas in life.  She helps people with parenting skills, communication skills, depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress reduction, and children affected by trauma. Kim also has a certificate in Life Coach Training and utilizes these skills in counseling.  

 

She is compassionate about engaging and supporting individuals alongside their journeys of life.  She motivates her clients towards productive communication and healthy boundaries within their relationships. Kim’s ability to connect with people empowers and encourages her clients to resolve conflict and move toward desired change in their lives. Kim has her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Colorado University and is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado.

 

Kim works in both the Littleton offices.



Staff 1Rachel Moses, MA, LPC
Rachel works with individuals and couples for marriage issues, conflict resolution, grief and loss, depression, domestic violence, other relational difficulties, trauma, and spiritual issues. She also works with children using play therapy, teens, and children with aspergers.

 

Rachel takes a holistic approach, believing that there are many factors that affect an individual’s well-being. She looks at the person’s past and present experiences and how this affects their emotional, cognitive, psychological, social, physical and spiritual well-being. Rachel’s compassionate heart and gentle spirit allows clients to feel encouraged and safe as they work through their struggles in therapy.

 

Rachel has her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Colorado Christian University and she is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado.

 

Rachel works in both the Denver and Littleton offices.



Staff 1Linnaya Widhalm, MA, NCC, CACII
Linnaya’s goal in family therapy is to facilitate growth in the system and between members by the use of congruent communication, accessing coping skills and enhancing self-worth. Her therapy focuses on marital and family discord, substance abuse/dependence, co-dependence, life skills, depression, grief and loss, and eating disorders. Individual therapy is present centered and focuses on the client’s immediate experience.

 

Linnaya has earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Community Counseling with a focus on Marriage and family Therapy. She is a National Certified Counselor and holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado. Linnaya is a Certified Addictions Counselor II and has five years experience working with families and individuals with chemical abuse and dependency issues.

 

Linnaya works in the Denver office.
